Marina Ravagnan Gabbiani’s special expertise is her capacity to conjugate tradition and experimental research. The daughter of the painter Carlo Ravagnan, and born and brought up in Venice, Marina is a highly versatile artist whose many gifts find full expression in the design of lamps and other items of glassware. Capitalising upon her profound knowledge of Murano artistic glass production and her passion for this art form, she has reworked the most classical elements of Venetian tradition into an advanced artistic idiom in order to create extremely elegant and refined artistic furnishings, lamps and chandeliers that are perfectly suited to either classical and ultra contemporary settings.
Designer in her DNA! Lover of animals and veterinary graduate, Carlotta occasionally teams up with her parents to pursue the company’s mission. When she designed her first collection of glass bijoux in 2000, she recognised that a life lived among artistic Murano glassware can leave an indelible and creative mark. 2014 saw her first lamp collection, whose works were all inspired by Venice’s life, water and fauna. Her strongly innovative design draws inspiration from natural geometries, while its audacious juxtaposition of colours is one of her distinguishing traits.
